Meet Marcie

Meet Marcie Image

Marcie has a Masters Degree in Public Health and is a Health & Fitness reporter for television in upstate New York. She is a retired competitive body builder who hosts her own television fitness show called Tone Up! She is currently a competitive triathlete. Marcie has written two other books, and is looking for a publisher for a childrens book about bullying called "Kids on the Bus". PLUS another nutrition book entitled "Nothing Tastes as Good as Fit Feels." She is also a columnist for several newspapers and performs health seminars throughout the country.

Journalist and TV reporter, Marcie Fraser, has dedicated her career to health and medical writing, with great emphasis on subjects of concern to women who battle the bulge. As a veteran TV personality for nearly for 20 years, Ms. Fraser’s most recent work is as the medical reporter for New York’s CAPITAL 9 NEWS where she covers in-depth medical reports and is featured in “Toneup,” a special bi-weekly fitness segment. Marcie is an adjunct professor at Empire State College where she teaches Human Nutrition.

Author of two books, Ms. Fraser’s debut book, Where’d My Ass Go? contains the knowledge and experience gained from her practical work as a Behavioral Eating Specialist at St. Clare’s Hospital, counseling people who suffered from severe eating disorders and teaching cardiac patients how to reduce their risk factors by healthy eating and exercising.

In addition to writing and reporting, Fraser has given numerous presentations on stress, motivation, wellness, and general nutrition to corporations, professional organizations, and community groups. With her enthusiasm and diverse expertise, she is a natural speaker who makes all audiences feel motivated to perform at their best. She has delivered talks to major organizations such as General Electric, Schenectady International Chemical and MVP Healthcare.

Ms. Fraser earned her Master’s in Public Health with a concentration in Community and Family Health in 1993 graduating from University of Albany.

An avid tri-athlete and retired bodybuilding champion, Ms. Fraser, has motivated and counseled thousands of individuals. She has shown them how to maximize their performance and reach their full potential through nutrition. Ms. Fraser lives in the Albany area in Upstate New York.
